It’s simple, it’s cheerful, and it’s creative. I’m talking about the Coborn’s blog, and it’s my choice for today’s example of Remark!able use of social media.
Does the thought of starting a blog overwhelm you?
Maybe you have a blog, but often feel like you’re not sure if you are using it correctly.
Blogging doesn’t need to be complicated. In fact, my most favorite blogs are those that keep things simple! It’s important to me that the blogs I follow consistently post new articles and keep them short and easy to read, yet creative enough to catch my attention.
The Coborn’s Blog Gets It Right
Coborn’s does these things, while keeping their blog simple. I admire their choice in blog topics and crisp photos. They’ve done a superior job of finding blog contributors who each take turns writing posts.
I love this quote from their Cooking 101 blog post, “Don’t be afraid to cook with wine, but remember this basic rule: don’t use a wine that you wouldn’t want to drink and don’t use a wine that you really want to drink.”
Their clever and simple ideas carry over to the over thirty YouTube videos they have posted about topics that are short and informative. I love the 44 second video they have posted that highlights the locally grown and made products from around Minnesota. I had no idea a couple of the products featured are made by Minnesota companies!
Each week I select a person, company, or non-profit who uses social media in a Remark!able way in which others can learn and get inspired. By doing this, I am always seeking out new ideas and examples led by the extraordinary creativity and energy of others. I invite you to explore some of the past Remark!able stories posted on this blog, as well as share your ideas in the comments section. I get tips from clients and readers everyday on stories I should consider, and it’s my favorite part of my day.
