There are so many ways to integrate your blog content with your social media initiatives. Most blogs have some type of social media sharing built-in to make it easy to tweet the content on Twitter or share with your Facebook friends. But if Twitter is an important part of your marketing, you may want to try one of these methods of further enhancing the effects of Twitter on your blog.
Add Tweetable Text to your Blog Post
Adding bits of tweetable text to your blog post makes it easy for a reader to click a link and automatically tweet specific text, such as a quote (remember it has to be under 140 characters). Here is an example:
Imagination is more important than knowledge. – Albert Einstein [Tweet this!]
Imagination is more important than knowledge. – Albert Einstein <a href=”http://twitter.com/home/?status=Imagination is more important than knowledge. – Albert Einstein via @jkaufenberg “>[Tweet this!]</a>
Keep in mind, that you can choose to mention a Twitter handle if you have room with characters. I added my @jkaufenberg twitter handle as an example.
Embed a Tweet from Twitter into your Blog Post
It is easier than you think to embed a tweet into your blog post to add some visual interest and draw attention to a tweet. Here is an example:

To do this, go to Twitter and click on the “more” button below the tweet you want to embed, then choose “embed tweet”. Copy the HTML text, and paste it into the text editor tab in WordPress.
Enable Twitter Cards on your Website
Twitter cards use the Open Graph Protocol to enhance your tweets. The Open Graph Protocol allows you to apply some Metadata to your site and enhance your content for social media. The enhanced content looks something like this.
As you can see the tweet with the Twitter card is bigger. It provides your followers with a summary of your post, and image, and an opportunity to “view on the web”. You can create Twitter cards for your WordPress site by using the Yoast SEO plugin.
Are tweetable bits, embedded tweets, or Twitter cards something that can help enhance your blog and Twitter campaign? Have you used any of these marketing tactics yet? Let us know in the comments below or via Twitter at @jkaufenberg
