Katie Donates to Feed My Starving Children
Katie Schmidt is a graphic designer at Vivid Image, and she selected Feed My Starving Children as the recipient of her $250 donation in April. Each year, hunger causes nearly half of deaths in children under 5 years old, and FMSC believes hope starts with food. Katie shares, “throughout the past couple of years I have been able to volunteer several times to help pack these meals that are then distributed all around the world. I wanted to choose this organization because of their commitment to serving others and how easy they make it to get involved.”
Ciera Donates to Minnesota PKU Foundation
Ciera Cronen is a marketing strategist at Vivid Image, and she selected the Minnesota PKU Foundation as the recipient of her $250 donation in April. PKU is a disorder that causes difficulty for the body to break down certain types of food. The Minnesota PKU Foundation promotes research and the welfare of individuals with PKU and their families. Ciera says she selected this organization because “they do amazing work for the PKU community. I am thankful they are there to help families and those living with PKU. They made a huge impact in the lives of my fiance’s family, when his sister was born.”
Thanks Katie & Ciera!
Charitable giving is determined by our staff! Every month one or two Vivid Image team members select a non-profit that means a lot to them. $250 is granted to the non-profit of their choice. Then, throughout the year if staff choose to volunteer at least 25 hours of time, they select another non-profit to receive $250, and the staff member also receives $250 in recognition of their contribution to the community. By the end of this year we’ll have been able to make a difference in the lives of others by donating at least $5,000, and likely upwards of over $11,000!
