Facebook Job Posting Feature is Back for Business Pages

Maybe you’ve noticed: Facebook Jobs has returned, but it looks a bit different than it used to. In October 2025, Meta reintroduced its free job posting feature. This time, it’s focused more tightly on local, entry-level, and service-industry roles. And while the tool has its place, there are some important limitations to understand that we’ll review later in a pro’s and con’s section, but first let’s review how it works.

How Does the Facebook Jobs Feature Work?

To set up a posting, navigate to your page, begin creating a post and look for the “Create Job” button left of the “Photo/Video” you’re likely used to using. Fill out the simple form with the job title, description, location, and other details. For applicants, the process is streamlined. They can find listings on your business page, in relevant groups, or in a dedicated “Jobs” section in Marketplace, with the option to apply by submitting a form pre-populated with their Facebook profile information directly via Messenger. However, this free method poses HR confidentiality issues since all page admins with Messenger access can view the applications. This is a problem that businesses can solve by using a paid ad campaign that redirects applicants to a secure, private application portal on their own website.

Pros

  • Intended for local, hourly, entry-level, service-related positions
  • Free to use
  • Easy application process for applicants because Facebook auto-fills their information
  • Job post appears on Facebook Marketplace and in relevant community groups

Cons

  • No HR confidentiality as applications go to all page admins via Messenger
  • Not a fit for high-level, specialized, or candidates outside of the local area
  • Can’t customize the application/ information beyond what Facebook allows
  • Can get a high volume of applications & have to spend time sorting

As your marketing partner, we want to make sure you know what this free option offers, what it doesn’t, and when it makes sense to bring in help like Vivid Image.
