I’ve previously shared information about how reviews are valuable, and that more and more people are looking at reviews prior to purchasing a product or doing business with a company. Attributing business success to reviews is another story. That puts proof to the value of reviews.
True Value of Reviews
At Vivid Image, we work with The Broll Team – Keller Williams Integrity Northwest, a real estate agency, on some of their marketing. One of the items we’ve discussed is the importance of reviews. They agree that reviews are important. Purchasing or selling a home is a major part of people’s lives, and they want to trust their realtor. Reviews give people a chance to see a snapshot of what a realtor may be like to work with before making any commitments.
The Broll Team had previous reviews on Zillow and a few on Facebook. We discussed the importance of having ongoing reviews where people will look for them. While Zillow and Facebook are important avenues for them, they were missing reviews on Google. They were able to find a way to make asking for reviews a regular part of their process when selling homes, and quickly gained a few very positive Google reviews and some additional recent reviews in other areas. It was a natural fit. Gaining the reviews was a success on its own.
How Reviews Helped Sell A Home
A couple weeks later a woman called their office asking some questions about what it would involve to sell her home with The Broll Team. She was moving out of state and wanted to find a realtor to help. She worked with a Keller Williams realtor in a different area previously that she was satisfied with, but wanted to keep her options open. She did some research including reading reviews. During her first call to The Broll Team she informed them she called because of the great things people said about them in their reviews. That same day she agreed to list her house with the Broll Team.
That first call to their office happened two months ago. The women’s house has already been listed and sold. The Broll Team credits gaining that home sale to the positive reviews they’ve acquired on places like Google, Facebook, and Zillow. Reviews have value, in this case the value of a home sale.
