Do you ever feel like your “blogging tap” has run dry? Or maybe you have a lot of ideas, but no time to write about them? Well, you are not alone! Writing is not easy, especially when you wear many hats, and blogging is just one of them that you are trying to balance!
Vivid Image offers a free class for their clients, called “Blogging Made Easy” which is basically a blogging brainstorming session. This is a special class that is offered in-person only (not online) and is limited to just 6 participants to keep it a small-group setting. To begin, we go around the room and learn more about each of the attendee’s companies, their roles, target market, and how they are using their blog right now. We find out – Who are their customers? Who do they want to read their blog? What are their customers’ pain points? What are their company’s goals? What challenges are they having? Then, as a group, we all provide ideas for possible blog topics.
Two of the attendees were students from New Century Academy in Hutchinson who were there to represent their High School blog. Although they haven’t begun blogging yet, Katelyn and Sarah of NCA said they would recommend this class to others, “We learned a lot and left the class feeling competent. The class gave us good ideas for writing.”
Sometimes the hardest part about blogging can be just starting. Jessica Verhasselt of Excelsior Homes in Hutchinson said that since the class, she has made some progress in drafting blog posts. She said her biggest challenge with blogging is organization. Jessica said she would definitely recommend the class to others, “It gave me more focused ideas on what others are interested in, rather than what I think people want to know. This class allowed me to think outside the box.” One idea that Jessica wants to implement is writing about the difference between modular and manufactured homes to help educate her customers and prospects.
