With an estimated number of Minnesota non-profits exceeding 55,000 and over 30% of adult Americans volunteering, there’s no doubt that non-profits touch countless lives and benefit communities in ways we may not fully comprehend. This week is Give to the Max Day on November 14th, Minnesota’s largest day of giving, and it comes on the heels of our first-ever Weekend Web Challenge, where our staff donated their time and talents to one Minnesota non-profit.
Our team selected Tim Orth Memorial Foundation and gathered over the Nov. 1-3 weekend to give them a refreshed logo and branding, new print assets, website, content, and social media calendar, which you can see here. What everyone loved most about the weekend was spending time together on the same project (never been done before) and learning the extent to which TOMF has touched lives over their 25 years of existence.

A Peek Behind the Scenes
When a team of 17 people divide up responsibilities and coordinate a whole weekend of work, fun, and food, it’s easiest to schedule it out. Here’s a look at how it played out.
At the end of a fun weekend that included birthday parties, family-style meals, a cardio workout, indoor basketball and golf, pets, kids, surprise guest visitors, and lots of long hours and hard work, we gathered with representatives of TOMF to celebrate with champagne and toast to an extraordinary 2020. They’ve already served over 300 families and given an estimated 3 million dollars to make life a little easier for recipients.
