On Star Wars Day, Friday May the 4th, hundreds of leaders from around West Central Minnesota gathered at the Crow River Winery for the 2nd Annual Leadercast Live. Leadercast Live is the largest one-day leadership event on the planet with more than 100,000 visionaries attending each year. This year, people gathered in Hutchinson Minnesota, and in more than 700 other locations in 20 countries. All of the Minnesota Vivid Image Staff was fortunate enough to attend Leadercast as a team on Friday. It was also awesome to see so many of our clients there too. Here are just a handful of our key takeaways.
Hutchinson Leadercast – Key Takeaways

“I enjoyed Jim Loehr’s presentation. I liked what he talked about in building and developing your moral character, and that it’s like developing muscles. It needs to be exercised and strengthened. This really resonated with me as the lessons I’ve learned inside the gym have taught me a lot about how to respond to life’s ups and downs outside the gym. The quote that he said that stood out to me was, “You won the lottery of life. What you do needs to justify that gift.”

“I like Tripp Crosby’s little nuggets of information between the speakers. I think he keeps things moving and does a nice job of wrapping up information into bite-sized pieces. Some of his statements right at the beginning of the day are a few things that keep running through my head. Be self-aware and understand what you need to be your best self. Plus, a reminder that many of us have children watching us and following our example. Those thoughts stuck with me.”
– Heidi, Online Marketing Specialist

“Jim Loehr’s piece may have stuck with me the most. He shared that doing things for others actually takes away pressure because it’s not about you. To really justify life, you have to give it away by helping others.”

At the end of the day, Jeff Kaylor also shared some amazing close-up magic tricks that made us all question reality. But part of his performance was also on “How to create magic moments” which had some pretty neat ideas for doing the unexpected for people you care about.
