Recently I discovered a fun video app called Vine. In a nutshell, it’s a tool that captures live moments in just 6 1/2 seconds. If you’re like me, that’s a perfect amount of time to get my attention. The app allows you to start and stop several times throughout, so you get get really creative with the short amount of time you have. For example, I follow our partner, Constant Contact, on Vine. Here’s a fun post dedicated to this week’s celebration of Small Business Week.
Another example of applying Vine for a small business includes a project I am working on for a Bed & Breakfast. Instead of shooting still photos of the rooms available and posting on her available room pages, we are embedding this video so prospective guests can get a more dimensional view.
Vine Makes Sharing Content with Social Easy Tool
The best thing about Vine is you can share your video creations instantly with your social networks. I have it set up to share with my Facebook and Twitter followers, but I am selective about which videos are shared. You have the ability to choose before posting.
Too Early To Tell but It Won’t Hurt To Try
While it’s early to make a prediction on Vine’s ability to help you increase engagement within your business and networks, I encourage you to check it out and give it a chance! The app IS now available on both the Android and Apple markets. Remember, trying new tools and opportunities to engage in new ways is the morale to the story of marketing today!
