Have you noticed yet? The Vivid Image brand is in the process of a transformation, and recently I took initiative to create a new email signature to mimic our new look. What do you think? Even though the email signature might seem like the oldest, most basic tool in your marketing toolbox, maybe it’s time to freshen it up? If it has been a while since you’ve paid attention to your signature, this post is simply meant to inspire you to take some time to dig in and play around with a fresh new digital John Hancock.
My new signature was created using Outlook, so if you are also using this email client, please check out the screen shot and instructions below. Here are the current help links for Gmail and Yahoo users. If you are using other email clients and don’t know how, I encourage you to use your handy help feature within the program and type in ’email signatures’ to get the answer. Or you can try an email signature tool available on the market, such as Wisestamp.
Creating an Email Signature using Outlook
With Outlook open, you can start by either clicking on the File Tab—>Options OR open up to create a new email message, Message——>Signature. Before you get started playing around with a new creation, I HIGHLY recommend you check with your marketing department, agency, or graphic designer to get the font and hex color information so your signature matches up with your website. Uniformity across all your digital footprints is important to building a professional impression!
Don’t Forget to Test It!
Be SURE all the links in your signature are correctly linking to your website, email, and social profiles!! Send a test email out to a few of your friends and colleagues first.
