At 6pm on Sunday, November 3rd, 2019 the Vivid Image team will gather with representatives of the Tim Orth Memorial Foundation to do a champagne toast to celebrate the launch of their new website! Here’s the story that leads us up to popping the cork!
WINNER!
Our team is excited to announce that the Tim Orth Memorial Foundation is the winner of our first ever Weekend Web Challenge. Many incredible applications were received from non-profits around Minnesota, making our decision very difficult. All are very deserving of this award.
Over the weekend of November 1-3, 2019, our staff will work round the clock, donating their time and talents to build them a free website, with initial online marketing and social media assistance. We will capture the events of the weekend with live video, photos, and stories, so make sure you tune in. Congratulations to the hard working volunteers at the Tim Orth Memorial Foundation, and we look forward to building a brand new website for you.
Origination of the Weekend Web Challenge
Why is our staff so excited to give a free website to a deserving non-profit?

Nonprofit organizations face many barriers as they work to further their causes. While we’re out volunteering at our favorite organizations, we experience first-hand the challenges non-profits encounter. As a team we collectively decided that by giving away a website, we can make a measurable difference for one Minnesota non-profit. Not familiar with us or the work with do with organizations? Take a quick peek at our non-profit portfolio here, or learn more about our unique approach to community giving.
Weekend of Creativity, Collaboration and Celebration
The Vivid Image team will collaborate to work many hours November 1-3 to make the creation of a new Tim Orth Memorial Foundation website and associated marketing and social media components a success. Making this happen in a three day time span is aggressive, and we’re up for the challenge!
To keep our energy up, creativity flowing, and minds focused, we have some fun breaks planned, and even have the support of some local businesses to help keep staff fueled with food! We love seeing the pieces all come together. The support of community is always heart-warming.
Fun and Fuel To Push Through The Weekend

Sweat Session with Kristal – We’ll need to stretch our muscles and keep our blood flowing, so Kristal Ehrke, Vivid Image Account Director is stepping up to share her fitness instructor skills to lead us in a 30 minute Killin’ It Workout.
McCormick’s Pie – Our weekend wouldn’t be complete without some sweet treats! McCormick’s Family Restaurant is gifting us pie to cure our sweet tooth cravings. Pie flavors (I’m voting for pecan!) are being chosen by our Facebook followers – did you vote?
Buffalo Wild Wings – Hutchinson Buffalo Wild Wings is supplying us with some chicken wings to keep our stomachs full. Big decisions ahead – traditional wings or boneless? And sauce choices – how do we decide!? Watch for an opportunity to give us your 2 cents!
Squeaky Time – Many of our staff have families, young kids, and/or dogs who will share their loved ones during the weekend while they donate their time and talents. So, on Sunday afternoon we’ve scheduled a time to play with dogs, kids, toys, and whomever else shows up to burn off some energy, laugh, and have fun. We’re planning squeaky dog toys, kazoos, and other noisy stuff. How long can we hold out on this activity? LOL.
Happy Birthday To You! – TWO Vivid Image staff members, Deanna Schwint, Programmer, and Karlie Mosher, Designer, happen to have birthdays during our weekend, as well as (past) honorary staff, Ellie Koepp who will be popping in too. Celebrating with them is a must (perhaps with some singing by the brave and carefree, along with some treats, birthday hats and noise makers)!
Champagne Toast – Upon completion of our project and the entire weekend we’ll celebrate with representatives from TOMF with a champagne toast. There will be lots to celebrate!
A lot of planning is going into this weekend. It will be memorable. We’re excited to make a lasting contribution to the Tim Orth Memorial Foundation, so they can continue to focus and grow their mission to help children. Stay tuned for updates!
