On Wednesday, we held a Google Partner Event at Vivid Image that was focused on Local Search and how to optimize your digital presence. This was a livestream event organized by Google and available to Google Partners like Vivid Image.
Livestream Events – What are they?
Google has access to many resources and experts. They coordinate a topic and speaker(s) and their live presentation is broadcast online with access given to Google Partners. Vivid Image was given access to this presentation and we invited businesses and organization to join us in watching this presentation at our office. We’re able to answer questions for attendees before and after the event.
Recent Event Topics
The most Livestream event focused on local search, mainly about Google My Business and how to use it most effectively. When looking at local search I agree, if you are going to take care of one thing, Google My Business is the place to start. They shared statistics about the importance of being found online. Even if you don’t think people shop for your products or services online, they may still look at your reputation, hours, address, etc. online before coming to your store.
3 out of 4 people who search on their phone for something will visit a local store within 24 hours.
The event started out explaining the value of local search and your online presence and then Stasia Kudrez, Google expert, went into more details on how to setup Google My Business and other options and tools. That was following with some additional tips and information about other online activities that support your organization.

- Advertise Online – Leverage your online visible and be found where people are looking.
